If only Britain „never forgot” remembering Polish soldiers on July 8th, 1946, during London Victory Parade. It was truly humiliating for those who fought for Britain’s freedom. For the context, Britain’s PM Attlee, being under Stalin’s pressure, didn’t invite Polish government-in-exile or the veterans of the Polish Armed Forces (which Stalin reconized hostile) for the said parade. Poland landed on the left side of the Iron Curtain and Britain didn’t want to mess with Soviet Union on that matter.
